PRS has developed locking tuners with un-plated brass shaft for improved performance. This set of six tuners is designed to fit most US-made models. Please note that installation screws are included in the package.
If you own an SE model, it is important to know that Phase II tuners can also be used with most SE models. However, drilling new installation holes into the back of the headstock is necessary. As a result, previously drilled screw holes will be visible. It is advisable to take this into consideration when installing the tuners on your SE model.
In conclusion, PRS has come up with a solution for better tuning stability by creating locking tuners with un-plated brass shaft.
